About the film:
Set in the 1950s, Kissed by Inspiration tells the story of an ad campaign fighting for survival.
Barnes has just put the finishing touches on his ‘Dream Girl Lipstick’ campaign proposal. Unfortunately, his boss is not pleased… Barnes must come up with a better ad by the next morning. In the middle of his work, Barnes falls asleep. Magically, the ad comes to life and decides to save Barnes’ job and the campaign – but can they all agree on how they should be immortalized?
A sneak peak… a still from the movie:
Marissa had a great time reading an excerpt from a pilot last night at the NYWIFT Monthly Reading Series.
About the event:
“NYWIFT’s own Writers Group will be hosting this exciting monthly event, showcasing 6-7 original screenplay excerpts, all under 10 pages long. We cast each Reading from a base of professional actors from NYWIFT and Academy Alumni.”
Marissa is excited to be performing in the Gallatin Summer Lab on June 8th. The Gallatin Summer Lab is a week-long AEA Staged Reading for the playwriting students at Gallatin. Three one-act plays are selected for the Lab. The selected students get to learn what it is like to develop a new piece with professional directors and actors. Marissa will be performing a lead role in Pet Funeral by freshman Kelsey McKenna (the only freshman whose work was selected!), directed by fellow NYWIFT member Cynthia Granville.
The reading takes place on Saturday, June 8th at 2pm and is free and open to the public. If you are interested in attending, please contact Marissa for complete details.
